Year Six

On the 11thJanuary, year 6 took an exciting trip up to the O2 in London. We joined hundreds of other children to sing a collection of song alongside some famous names. Year 6 have worked incredibly hard learning the words and melodies to some famous tunes and had a great time learning dances and enjoying the general atmosphere!

This term Year 6 are enjoying a topic entitled ‘Mission to Mars’. In this topic we are looking at Mars and the possibility of living on Mars. The children are enjoying designing and making models of space stations and thinking of the everyday things that they would need on Mars in order to survive. Pictures of finished space stations to follow!!

As well as many exciting things happening in the year six classrooms, the children are very much looking forward to their fast approaching residential trip to Windmill Hill!

Term One & Two

Term 3

In this term we started our new topic: "Mission to Mars." We learnt all about the solar system and particularly Mars. We thought of what it would be like to live in space and we designed a Mars Space station.

Term 2

This term we are doing our topic on: "Moving people." We are learning all about migration and why people have to leave their countries and why they chose to. We have been looking at the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
